Buffalo Nickel Set (1927–1938)
A handsome six-coin partial set of Buffalo Nickels, each housed in a 2x2 cardboard flip with handwritten date and grade. The set includes:
1927 – VG (Very Good): strong date, full horn mostly worn.
1930 – VF30 (Very Fine): clear LIBERTY and feather details.
1936 – EF40 (Extremely Fine): light wear on high points, attractive toning.
1936-S – VF30: San Francisco mint, sharper strike, good surfaces.
1937 – F12 (Fine): moderate even wear, full rims.
1938-D – VF20: final year of issue, distinct buffalo tail and date.
Reverse sides show crisp bison designs with moderate circulation wear, matching their assigned grades. A pleasing starter or filler group for a circulated Buffalo Nickel collection.
Metal type: 75% copper, 25% nickel (standard U.S. “cupronickel” alloy).
